4th of July Tribute to America's Contribution to the Rock Era

A couple of tips:  The scope of this Tribute is comprehensive--there has never been anything like it.  There will be as many as 50 pages of the Tribute, so scroll down to the bottom of the page, where you will find a link in red that says "Older Posts".  That will take you to the previous page.  Keep doing that until you have listened to all of the songs (over 900 of them).  


Second, please listen to the songs all the way through.  Not only will you enjoy the Tribute more, but your video player and computer will crash if you start and stop too often.  When this does happen, just hit the "Refresh" button on your browser and you should be able to continue listening.


Donna Summer had four #1 songs in her fabulous career and they were all during her hot period from 1978-1979.  This song, while only reaching #2, was right in the middle of that hot streak in which she held a note for one of the longest times of the Rock Era (32 beats):
