4th of July Tribute to America's Contribution to the Rock Era

We're about one-third of the way through today's Tribute.  A few tips:  First, tell your family and friends about the special so they can enjoy it with you!  Second, because of the large volume of great songs, your video player will likely crash a few times.  You can decrease the possibility of this by listening to the songs all the way through.  It is the constant starts and stops that will cause it to crash more often.  Plus, you'll get much more out of the Tribute.

You won't be able to keep up with the large number of songs loading onto the site throughout the day.  Listen as much as you can and enjoy the day.  Then come back in the next several days to catch what you missed.  Beginning tomorrow, Inside the Rock Era will provide links for easy access.  You can also find all of the posts on the left-hand side of the web site under "July" posts.  We hope you do come back and absorb all of the songs, for, taken in their cumulative effect, most will find it pretty overpowering and the music awesome.

They took their love of music at an early age, perfected it, refined it, and presented it to the world. On Independence Day 2012, we salute the great songs and artists from the United States. One of its brightest stars in its history tragically burned out far too early, but her contributions will
live on forever.
