Musee Grevin (Museum of Wax) in Paris, France

The Musee Grevin, Museum of Wax in Paris, France, was modeled after the successful Madame Tussauds in London.  The Grevin Museum was founded in 1882.  There are political leaders such as Charles de Gaulle of France and President Kennedy of the U.S. and Hollywood stars Marilyn Monroe and Charlie Chaplin.  There are also famous scenes in French history depicted, such as astonishing wax figures of the 1789 French Revolution.

In looking over the list of stars from the rock era, I'm struck not only by the ones not included but by the ones that are.  For example, they leave out Elton John, Whitney Houston and the Beatles but include Britney Spears and Posh Spice (Victoria Beckham).  Here are the musicians that are featured in the museum:

Louis Armstrong
Victoria Beckham
Ray Charles

Celine Dion
Jimi Hendrix

Michael Jackson
Jennifer Lopez

Madonna
Elvis Presley
Britney Spears
