Robin Gibb Has 50/50 Chance to Live

It is indeed great news that Robin has come out of his coma, but his wife says he has about a 50/50 chance to live as he battles colon cancer, which doctors fear may have spread to his liver.Robin Gibb
Gibb, part of one of the greatest acts the world has ever known, the Bee Gees, fell into a coma last month after contracting pneumonia.  The pneumonia has cleared, but he remains in intensive care at a hospital in London.  Gibb can't speak right now because he has a tracheotomy, and he has to communicate by blinking his eyes.  Because he spent so long in a coma, there are many things he will have to learn to do again if he comes through it, including re-learning how to walk.

Among the many things that Gibb has communicated are that "I want to live no matter what." and he vows he will sing again.  According to the family, "He is receiving prayers and blessing from every religion all over the world."

Gibb had surgery on his bowel 18 months ago for an unrelated condition, but doctors discovered a tumor and he was diagnosed with colon cancer.  Gibb's twin brother Maurice died from the same bowel condition that initially led doctors to operate on Robin.

Our continued prayers and good thoughts are with you Robin, Barry and family.  God Bless.
