Calendar* Correction: Jim Morrison

Doors lead singer Jim Morrison had so many arrests that it is probably difficult for some to keep track of.  Many websites report that on March 1, Morrison was arrested in Miami, Florida.  Here's what actually happened.

The Doors performed at Dinner Key Auditorium on March 1, and, along with other things, Morrison went on a 65-minute rant insulting the crowd and calling them "a bunch of slaves".  Feeling as if he wasn't getting enough attention from the crowd (as if he was the only talented member of the Doors!), Morrison dropped his drawers.  Very sad he chose to go out that way.

Morrison was convicted of public profanity and indecent exposure and sentenced to eight months of hard labor.  Morrison's lawyer appealed the charges, and Morrison fled to Paris, France, where he died a little over two years later at the age of 27.

The concert was March 1, and on March 5, police arrested him, according to the Doors' official website and the book Busted:  Mugshots and Arrest Records of the Famous and Infamous
