1984 was a great year for music that saw just five albums reach #1. FYI, Thriller is not included here since it was released in 1983 and was the #1 album of that year. The other four #1 albums were the Soundtrack to "Footloose", Sports by Huey Lewis & the News, Born in the U.S.A. by Bruce Springsteen and Purple Rain from Prince. Those four are all included among the Top 10 Albums of 1984:
