Paul Goddard, outstanding bass player and a founding member of the Atlanta Rhythm Section, died of cancer at the age of 68 in Atlanta, Georgia. Goddard and his group put out hits including "So Into You" and "Imaginary Lover", and their best album was Champagne Jam.
