Casey Kasem, beloved voice of American Top 40 for decades, is now missing.
A Los Angeles judged ordered an immediate investigation into Kasem's whereabouts after the attorney for his wife said "He doesn't know where he is, but...believes he isn't in the United States anymore".
I have personal interest in this story. When I came up with the mathematical formula to rank The Top 5000 Songs of the Rock Era* and sent it to Casey for his thoughts, he not only called to talked to me, but gave me his home phone number so I could get in touch with him. That impressed the hell out of me--I thought, "What a tremendous person!" Someone of that stature didn't have to go out of his way to do that, yet he did, and I will be forever grateful.
Now we pray that Casey is OK and well-cared for.
