The Top 500 One-Hit Wonders of the Rock Era Revisited: Prelude Part Three

 Here are some more great One-Hit Wonders* just outside of our special.




 Wayne Wonder--"No Letting Go"


This artist's most successful song by far is this one from 2004.





Gina G--"Ooh Ahh Just A Little Bit More"

The U.K.'s representative in the Eurovision Song Contest hit #1 in the U.K. in 1997.







 
Moby--"South Side"



This One-Hit Wonder* was released as the seventh single from Moby's fifth album.  It climbed to #14, the only Top 40 hit by singer-songwriter Moby.



 
Len--"Steal My Sunshine"


Canadian alt-rock group Len provided this memorable tune from 1999.





 
the Mighty Mighty Bosstones--"The Impression That I Get"


This winner from the innovative Boston, Mass group the Mighty Mighty Bosstones reached #1 on the Modern Rock chart and #23 overall in 1997.





 
 Hot Chelle Rae--"Tonight Tonight"


The American Rock group Hot Chelle Rae reached #7 with this in 2011.






 
  the Click Five--"Just The Girl"


Here's another Boston group in the Prelude*--the Click Five with a song written by Adam Schlesinger, best-known for his work with Fountains of Wayne.  It peaked at #11 in 2005.








 
  Unit Four Plus Two--"Concrete And Clay"


This One-Hit Wonder* hit #28 in 1965.


This artist from Spanish Town, Jamaica enjoyed a gold record with her big hit:
  
 Diana King--"Shy Guy"

King signed a recording contract with Sony Music following her appearance on the 1994 song "Respect" by the Notorious B.I.G. "Shy Guy" reached #13 in the United States and #2 in the U.K. and sold over five million singles worldwide.









 
  Sheb Wooley--"The Purple People Eater"

Time for another novelty song, this one a #1 for Sheb Wooley in 1958.






 
 La Roux--"Bulletproof"


The duo La Roux enjoyed this #1 hit in the U.K. and #8 in the United States.







 
  Technotronic--"Pump Up The Jam"


Belgian group Technotronic enjoyed a worldwide hit with "Pump Up The Jam" in 1989.










 
Icona Pop--"I Love It"

Swedish duo Icona Pop reached #7 with their second single in 2012 and then, despite dozens of other releases, never made the big time again.






 Bronski Beat--"Smalltown Boy"


This song was a European smash in 1985.
