Hits List: Joan Baez

I look at pictures from Joan in the early 60's at the Newport Folk Festival.  She was so young.  She had a conscious and wrote lyrics that mattered.  I wish young people today would do the same.

1963:  "We Shall Overcome" (#90, #26 U.K.)
1965:  "There But for Fortune" (#50, #16 Adult Contemporary, #8 U.K.)
"It's All Over Now, Baby Blue" (#22 U.K.)
           "Farewell Angelina" (#35 U.K.)
1966:  "Pack Up Your Sorrows" (#50 U.K.)
1969:  "Love Is Just a Four-Letter Word" (#86)
1971:  "The Night They Drove Ol' Dixie Down" (#3, #1 AC, #6 U.K.)
"Let It Be" (#49, #5 AC)
1972:  "In the Quiet Morning" (#69, #22 AC)
1974:  "Forever Young" (#14 AC)
1975:  "Blue Sky" (#57, #46 AC)
"Diamonds and Rust" (#35, #5 AC)--highly underrated song.
