Top Track: "The Bargain" by the Who

Although The Top Songs of the 60's* is in high gear and the obvious fan favorite of the site right now, Inside The Rock Era would like to also remind you of another of our premiere music specials that is not that far away.

Beginning October 1, we will present The Top Artists of the Seventies*.  It promises to be another spectacular.  We do basic lists such as The Top Songs of 1974*, etc. and The Top Comebacks of the Rock Era*.  But pay attention to the decade lists--to be one of The Top 100 of a decade is pretty special.  The Top Artists of the Seventies* will feature all the great music from one of the Rock Era's best decades--the Eagles, the Bee Gees, Elton John, Donna Summer, and more.

We are doing this not only to feature the great music, but also as a bit of a tease (we admit it!) for next year, the big 60th Birthday of Rock & Roll.  Will the Who make the list?  They only had one career Top 10 song, but they had a lot of great "underrated music" and solid album tracks as well.  Here is one of those Top Tracks from the Seventies:
