Raphael Ravenscroft, one of the premier saxophonists of the Rock Era, who played the memorable solo on Gerry Rafferty's classic "Baker Street", and also worked with ABBA, Pink Floyd, Marvin Gaye, America, Kim Carnes, Bonnie Tyler, Maxine Nightingale, and Daft Punk, among others, died today of a heart attack in Exeter, England.
Ravenscroft was 70.
