In Concert: Bee Gees

I have been fortunate enough to see a lot of concerts; if I had to guess, 100 or more.  I've seen some great, great shows.  My goal is to see as many of The Top 100 Artists of the Rock Era* as I can.  There are three acts that I wish I had seen but by the time I was really into music, I couldn't afford to travel to see these acts at the time--Elvis, the Beatles and CCR.

The best concert I ever saw (and it's not really close for second) was this trio.  Granted, I saw them at their peak in 1979 at the Coliseum in Portland, Oregon.  But the talent was just unbelievable; it was during the Spirits Having Flown tour and besides having 15,000 or so people dancing and having an absolute blast during songs like this one, they also did a medley of their many hits from the 60's in which the three brothers just sang on stage.  The stage would alternate colors of the brightest and most fluorescent colors you've ever seen and when you hear the voices and the true harmony that can only come from family, you're just struck by the amazing talent of this group.  I've always told everyone to go see them if they had a chance.  Of course, sadly, we can't now that brother Maurice died a few years back.  But at least we have this.
