Great Britain is set to bid a rock & roll farewell to one of the most successful Summer Olympics in history with a musical extravaganza tonight in London.
The closing ceremony will feature a reunion of the Spice Girls, along with George Michael, Brian May of Queen and Annie Lennox in a show titled "A Symphony of British Music". Muse is also expected to sing and other rumors have the Who, Madness and Kate Bush joining in the celebration.
The Beatles are expected to be honored in the celebration of British music just as they were during the opening ceremony of the Games when Paul McCartney led spectators in singing "Hey Jude". Music spanning the centuries will be featured, along with words from England's own William Shakespeare.
