Dorothy McGuire Has Died at 84


Dorothy McGuire, part of the McGuire Sisters, has died in Paradise Valley, Arizona at the age of 84.  McGuire helped her trio to 31 hits since 1955, including "Sincerely", which was #1 for 10 weeks, and "Sugartime", a #1 record of four weeks.

McGuire was an accomplished actress, earning an Academy Award nomination for Best Actress for her role in Gentleman's Agreement.  She also starred in A Summer Place, Three Coins in the Fountain, Old Yeller, The Greatest Story Ever Told and Swiss Family Robinson, among others, died at age 84 in Paradise Valley, Arizona.

Dorothy is a part of the Vocal Group Hall of Fame, the National Broadcasting Hall of Fame and the Hit Parade Hall of Fame.
