Another of The Top Unknown/Underrated Songs of the Rock Era: "I Saw Her Standing There" by the Beatles

When you had 34 Top 10 hits, including 11 in your first year, it is completely understandable that there are many others that should have made the Top 10 but didn't.  After all, there's only so many songs that radio can play at one time--there simply wasn't room on the playlist for all the outstanding Beatles songs.

The Beatles are going to have many songs included in The Top Unknown/Underrated Songs of the Rock Era*, and this is one of their first, which only reached #14:
I Saw Her Standing There
Beatles

Words and Music by John Lennon and Paul McCartney

 (1,2,3,4!)

Well, she was just 17
You know what I mean
And the way she looked was way beyond compare
So how could I dance with another (Ooh)
When I saw her standing there

Well she looked at me, and I, I could see
That before too long I'd fall in love with her
She wouldn't dance with another (Whooh)
When I saw her standing there

Well, my heart went "boom"
When I crossed that room
And I held her hand in mine...

Whoah, we danced through the night
And we held each other tight
And before too long I fell in love with her
Now I'll never dance with another (Whooh)
Since I saw her standing there

Well, my heart went "boom"
When I crossed that room
And I held her hand in mine...

Whoah, we danced through the night
And we held each other tight
And before too long I fell in love with her
Now I'll never dance with another (Whooh)
Since I saw her standing there
