Otis "Damon" Harris, who joined the Temptations in 1971 at age 21 when original lead singer Eddie Kendricks left, has died of prostate cancer at the age of 62 in a Baltimore hospice.
Harris was with the Temps from 1971-1975, singing on songs such as "Papa Was a Rollin' Stone" and "Superstar (Remember How You Got Where Your Are)". Harris had been battling the diseason for 14 years, but spent the last three months in the hospital.Chuck Woodson, a cousin of Harris's, confirmed that Harris died last week.
