Numerous websites inaccurately say that rock pioneer Chuck Berry received a Lifetime Achievement Award at the Grammys on February 26, 1985. Chuck Berry's official website states this, but Chuck's wrong on this one. According to the official website for the Grammy Awards, and the newspaper The New York Times, the correct date that Berry was honored is February 28, 1984. The newspaper printed a recap of the awards, including Berry's Lifetime Achievement Award, on March 1, 1984, something that of course would have been impossible if Berry received the award in 1985.
