BREAKING: It is with a very sad heart that I report that Olivia Newton-John, one of the greatest female singers of all-time, has passed away. She had beaten breast cancer before but in the end, it came back. The superstar of Grease and of five number one songs, 11 Top 10's and 36 hits, including 21 Adult Contemporary hits and a sensational 11 #1 AC hits, and winner of four Grammy Awards, has died at the age of 73.
The beloved Olivia, who did so much to help others with breast cancer after she was diagnosed, died this morning at her ranch in Southern California.
Newton-John first was diagnosed in 1992 and that successful fight against the disease led to the creation of the Olivia Newton-John Wellness & Research Center in Melbourne, Australia. But in 2017, Olivia was diagnosed with breast cancer again, and this time, it had spread to the sacrum. She appeared at the 40th anniversary celebration of Grease, in 2018, showing off a few dance moves, but was noticeably thinner.
Rest in peace, Olivia. You were loved by millions and your music, your films, and your story will live on.
