The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame waited until Donna Summer died to publicly recognize her, which is a shame, but the great singer will be part of the 2013 Class in Breaking News just announced.
Heart, which became the first group led by women to ever make it big, will also be inducted along with Rush, songwriter Randy Newman and blues guitarist Albert King. There are others in the class which do not deserve an honor if it is to be a legitimate reward for an outstanding career.
The induction ceremony will be April 18th in Los Angeles.
