Featured Unknown/Underrated Song of the Rock Era: "Rhiannon" by Fleetwood Mac

This entry into The Top Unknown/Underrated Songs of the Rock Era* may be obvious, but it still doesn't excuse radio for blowing it badly in 1976 when "Rhiannon" peaked at the ridiculous number of #11.  Radio has since realized their blunder and most decent stations now play the song regularly.

"Rhiannon (Will You Ever Win)"
Fleetwood Mac

Words and Music by Stevie Nicks

Rhiannon rings like a bell through the night
and wouldn't you love to love her?
Takes to the sky like a bird in flight
and who will be her lover?

All your life you've never seen
woman, taken by the wind
Would you stay if she promised you heaven?
Will you ever win?

She is like a cat in the dark
and then she is the darkness
she rules her life like a fine skylark
and when the sky is starless

All your life you've never seen
woman taken by the wind
Would you stay if she promised you heaven?
will you ever win?
Will you ever win?
