The 1970 Isle of Wight Festival

Today is the 47th anniversary of the famous 1970 Isle of Wight Festival, held August 27-30 on the Isle of Wight, the largest island of England located in the English Channel.  The four-day Isle of Wight Festival that year eclipsed the festival attendance record of the three-day Woodstock Festival the year before.
