Many websites incorrectly report that the Beatles 1963 tour of Scotland began on January 1. The tour was scheduled to begin January 2, but, due to a snowstorm, did not actually begin until January 3, when the Beatles played the Two Red Shoes Ballroom in Elgin. Thus, the planned five-date tour turned into just four concerts.
