Prelude to The Top 500 Songs of the Rock Era*: "Missing", from Everything But the Girl

This British duo didn't strike it rich until a song from their eighth album caused a stir.  If you get the chance, buy the album Amplified Heart--it is a solid album.

One of the longevity champs of the Rock Era, "Missing" set a chart record at the time with an incredible 55 weeks as a best-seller.  It climbed all the way to #2, kept out of the top spot only by one of a song you will surely see in The Top Songs of the Rock Era*--"One Sweet Day" by Mariah Carey and Boyz II Men.
