Won Musical Performer of the Year at the American Cinema Awards.

Nominated for Best Pop Vocal Performance, Female ("I'm Your Baby Tonight" ) at the Grammy Awards.

January 15:  The album I'm Your Baby Tonight was certified Gold (500,000 units), Platinum (one million units) and 2x Multi-Platinum (2 million units) in the United States.
January 17:  The album I'm Your Baby Tonight was certified Platinum in Austria.
March 21:  "All the Man That I Need" was certified Gold (one million units) in the United States.
April 11:  "The Star Spangled Banner" was certified Gold in the United States.
April 11:  The video single to "The Star Spangled Banner" was certified Gold, Platinum and Multi-Platinum in the United States.
May 2:  The album I'm Your Baby Tonight was certified 3x Multi-Platinum in the United States.
