Hits List: Toto

This group began as the backing band for Boz Scaggs--that's them you hear on his great Silk Degrees album.  Shortly after that, the group decided to record music on their own, and they made a big splash with their first album which included "Hold the Line".  But in 1982, they went in the studio and when they finished, they had created a masterpiece with the album known as Toto IV.  The album won them six Grammy Awards.  But to appreciate this group fully, you have to know that many of them are in high demand as musicians for other artists.  If you peruse the support on great albums, or just click on The Top 100 Albums of the Rock Era* on this blog, you'll see the outstanding contribution they have made there.  They have always been just a tight, tight band with a crisp sound and fantastic musicianship.  Many people would be surprised that they are still doing well in the Netherlands, which seems to have become almost a second home for them.  Here is the complete Hits List for Toto:
