Lineup History: Bad Company

This group was loved form the moment they got together in 1973.  Lead singer Paul Rodgers (one of the great vocalists of the Rock Era) and drummer Simon Kirke had been together in the earlier part of the decade with the band Free ("All Right Now").  The two plucked the other two members from two other popular English bands, bassist Boz Burrell from King Crimson and lead guitarist Mick Ralphs from Mott the Hoople.  It was a super combination.
Rodgers has left for temporary projects such as the Firm and a stint as Queen's lead singer on tour, as well as a solo career, but has gravitated back to the group.  Though Burrell died in 2006, the remaining three original members have reunited from time to time for live performances.
